If there's a ranged reviver (Sparks), the counterplay is to gib the downed enemy before she can revive him or her, and you rarely even have to worry about the reviver attacking you, she's balanced by having very lacking attack ability. Should I take out the downed player before he can be revived, or should I move on to the next player? Perhaps you didn't realize you actually can prevent players from being revived. The revives are perhaps my favorite mechanic in any game, it lets a good medic keep the flow of battle going and makes the game more intense.
